Kakurami, or Kuri (he/him) is a nightspirit hosted by Mukakari. Kuri is a trickster with a mean streak. He never really lost his personality from his "past life", but being reduced in power significantly dampened his ego from his reigning days. Kuri and Screeg are not on friendly terms; he holds a grudge as he feels like it abandonded him.

When Muki was 12, he tricked her into becoming his host through a bite of an apple. Somehow, despite it all, the two became good friends (despite Kuri’s resistance to it at the beginning and unwillingness to admit it).

Kuri can possess Muki’s body when she allows it, but she tends to kick him out after a few hours. By and large, he can interact with most things in his spirit form, but he is "chained" to a 20m radius around Muki.
